Before the Now

Hi, my name is Payton! Yes, it does says this blog is by Anya Wilson no, that's not me thats my mom! A wonderful woman and a great mom! I don’t have my own blog, because this website doesn’t allow people under 13 to have there own blog which is pretty dumb but, little do they know I will just use a different account. Anyway this blog is about me and what I'm going through as a 10 year old girl. I will be turning 11 soon though.
I know a lot of people around the world are struggling with this whole COVID-19 thing. It is a very crazy yet interesting time. I'm stuck in my house like a lot of people are doing. Most of the time I'm playing on my ipad a lot, I mean a lot! I try to do other stuff too! Like starting this blog though it is screen time. I finally got my bike fixed so I going to try to ride it more. I suggest doing stuff like riding your bike or coloring. Don’t use to much time on your screen. Though doing the same stuff a whole bunch then can get boring.
Anyway here are a few facts about me:
1. I have glasses, there not in the picture because there currently broken.
2. My favorite color is purple.
3. I play soccer for a sport.
4. I play guitar for music
5. I love school, yes I truly do.
Yes, I love school I’m in fifth grade and I’m enjoying school so far. That might change but I don’t know.
Ok so heres where the story starts: I lived in Idaho for almost 7 years and I loved it there. Idaho is famous for their potatoes and I love potatoes! I had great friends and a great teacher. I though that I would stay there for the rest of my school years there. But my life decided to run a different path, because my mom wanted to get a job we had to move all the way to Utah. I did not want to move though part of me did. The moving went way to fast and now here I am far away from everyone I knew and loved though the funny thing is my dad’s side of the family lives in Idaho and my mom’s side of the family lives in Utah. So I wasn’t completely far way for loved one. Though we didn’t really see my mom’s side very often. That kind of thing sorta flipped flopped. Anyway the week we moved happened to be on my new schools Spring Break. We had plenty of time to get everything situated and set. But the thing is that my old school already has Spring Break. Yay! Another other week off! Not, I was afraid that I would miss important 4th grade education. Turns out everything turned out fine. The first day of school was actually great, my new 4th teacher was really nice and everyone was so kind. I don’t really know how fast I got my new friends that I have now. Think about one of your bestest friend you have ever had, then try to think how you became friends did you ask or did you start playing with them. For me I literally can’t remember, except I think I might of sat by them in class. When you think about it it seem like it was destined to happen. Anyway I made it just in time for square dancing! And boy it was fun, yes I did have to touch every boys hand in the class but I didn’t care. The teacher did allow people to like just touch the hand while dancing instead of holding hands I didn’t mind holding hands but some people did. Performing in front of the parents was actually kinda fun considering that I have a HUGE amount of stage fright. We did this motion thing too while one of my friends said something off a piece of paper. While I stayed in the new class I also got to go on 3 field trips I think! It was almost the end of the year and at my old school and I hadn’t went on any. While I was at my new school that class went on like 10 field trips total through out the school year, and I’m not exaggerating.
Another thing I struggled with is keeping in contact with my friends. We tried to write letters but my friends were having a hard time writing which is totally understandable but one of my friends which yes is a boy was writing more often which was nice. He is a very sweet friend because when Christmas came he actually bought me a Christmas present with his own money. On Christmas Eve I got him one too.
Moving was definitely a challenge and I’m glad I had it, if I never moved then I would have never met the amazing people I know today. If you ever have to do something you don’t want to or makes you upset just look on the bright side there alway is one trust me. This is only the beginning of my blog but this is the end for now. Stay tuned for more posts!
